The Qatar Big Data & Analytics Workshops recently ended in success after welcoming over 50 registered delegates; the workshops provided speakers and audience members with the opportunity to heat intellectual presentations and develop high-level networks.
The workshops and masterclasses lasted for two complete days. These sessions were created to emphasize the importance of new investments into Qatari IT as well as Business Intelligence and Big Data. Mannai and Oracle proved themselves to be strong supporters as the lead sponsors.
The delegates learned from all of the sessions at the Workshops, especially how the important use-cases impact their own professional interests. There were a number of seminars about Data Science and Data Visualisation. Presenters included practical demonstrations of transport, education, utilities, telecoms, airlines, IT, banking, sports, energy, retail sectors and healthcare.
Two of the masterclass leaders included Dr. Mouwafac Sidaoui, anAssociate Professor and Chair Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems, University of San Francisco, as well as Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy, Chief Data Scientist, Halliburton.
“The GCC has jumped a curve from Business Intelligence to Big Data. Forward looking organisations in Qatar now have many successful POC's and use cases to support future analytics planning,” Kumar Ramanujam, director of conferences for TMC (the Event Organizers), said.
