Beginning Sept. 2, Qatar Airways will offer non-stop flights four times a week from Doha to Abha, Saudi Arabia.
Abha, in the southwestern province of Saudi Arabia, is evolving into a popular tourist destination with its mild, seasonal weather and scenic mountains.
Presently, Qatar Aiways offers flights to seven metropolitan areas in Saudi Arabia.
Qatar Airways offers 88 non-stop flight to Saudia Arabian destinations such as Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Gassim, Madinah, Al Hofuf and Ta’if. The airline also offers four flights to Abha each week.
Beginning July 17, weekly flights to Gassim will run 10 times, an increase from eight.
"We have been steadily expanding our network in Saudi Arabia,” Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said. “As our eighth destination in Saudi Arabia, Abha will bring more flexibility for passengers seeking connections from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. From Abha, travellers will have the chance to travel seamlessly through our Doha hub and beyond to popular cities such as London, Paris, New York, Washington, Bangkok and Singapore and will also offer passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia the opportunity of another gateway within the same country."
