Salient Federal Solutions, a Virginia-based information technology and engineering service firm that specializes in military and government program expertise, has been awarded a five-year $44 million contract to consult with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
Salient received the contract from the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. The company is tasked with providing the Saudi Navy with training and support services.
The expertise the firm will provide is in what the military calls C4ISR– Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.
To that end, Salient will develop training curriculum, facilitate courses, collect data and analyze/track the data to teach the Saudi Navy how to operate and maintain C4ISR systems. The company also will establish a C4ISR training center in Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
“We are proud of our commitment to support the United States’ strategic interests in this critical region and the U.S. Navy’s support of a stronger Royal Saudi Naval Force,” Salient President and CEO Brad Antle. “We are thrilled to assist the Royal Saudi Naval Force’s training mission to effectively protect Saudi Arabia coastal assets and keep pace with the rapid advances in C4I technology.”
