The Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry recently published Fifty Years of Vision, a booklet to celebrate the chamber’s 50th anniversary and the journey the influential organization has taken to where it is today.
The Dubai Chamber was established in 1965 by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and has worked hand-in-hand with the emirate’s business and political leaders to build Dubai up into the world-class destination it has become.
The Dubai Chamber booklet explores a holistic overview of how the Dubai Chamber has played its part in the success of Dubai, through its milestones and achievements.
The booklet presents Dubai as a living example of commerce, innovation, momentum and vision – the four pillars that Dubai Chamber was founded on. Fifty Years of Vision focuses on those areas and how the chamber has upheld those ideals.
“The booklet is a testament to Dubai and the chamber’s shared mission to the four pillars, and takes the reader through Dubai Chamber’s initiatives and accomplishments in the last 50 years, with this common theme in mind,” Rami Halawani, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s director for marketing and communications, said.
Fifty Years of Vision also shows how the Dubai Chamber has been instrumental in not just trade and commerce, but also in forming a culture of corporate social responsibility. That is in line with the emirate’s objective to develop best practices for a brighter and fairer, and more sustainable future.
