Qatar Airways celebrated the launch of new routes to three destinations in Pakistan with a VIP event and the announcement of a new community medical center to be built in the country.
The airline was celebrating new routes into Multan, Sialkot and Faisalabad, which have been launched in phases throughout the summer.
The event was attended by more than 150 guests held at the Multan Ramada Hotel. There, Qatar Airways representatives joined with delegates Qatar Charity to announce the building of the Al Amal medical center, to be located in Pakistan’s Khanewal Directorate. A plaque was also unveiled to mark the new initiative.
Qatar Airways' vice president for the region, Ihab Sorial, said the airline is “humbled to be able to announce the opening of the Al Amal medical center. Qatar Airways endeavours to contribute to this community for the benefit of its people and will always strive to do so.”
The new routes into Pakistan also demonstrate the company’s commitment to operating in the country. The three new destinations mean Qatar Airways has expanded from operating 45 flights per week into four cities to operating 55 per week into seven.
“We are proud to highlight that Qatar Airways’ commitment to Pakistan will continue as we identify new opportunities to expand our presence to even more cities across the country,” Sorial said.
