Dubai Association Centre launches Ambassador Programme

Dubai Association Centre (DAC) recently launched its Ambassador’s Programme aimed at working with senior executives to promote the center, engage with other associations and build a knowledge base for the development of similar associations in the region.

The ambassadors will be in charge of creating public awareness about the center, representing DAC internationally at events and exhibitions, and actively participating in its activities.

“They are selected on an annual basis through mutual consent of the DAC Steering Committee," Hassan Al Hashemi, a member of the DAC's Executive Committee and vice president of International Relations for the Dubai Chamber, said. "These individuals should be board member, chairperson, CEO or managing director of an association, preferably licensed by the center, with past experience in business development, strategy and pioneers in their field."

Current ambassadors include David Macadam, CEO of MECSC-ICSC Middle East & North Africa; Waleed Refaay, managing director of SPEMENA & India; Faris Abouhamad, chairman and world president of IAA, Worldwide; Mohamed Mezghani, deputy secretary general of UITP, France; Hussein Ghattas, president of IIBA in the United Arab Emirates (UAE); and Wael Abdulrahman Almahmeed, president of  GHA, also in the UAE.
