Sponsored by Qatar Development Bank, Doha will host the International Trade Centre's 15th World Export Development Forum Oct. 20-21 under the theme "Sustainable Trade: Innovate, Invest, Internationalize."
It is the first time that the forum will take place in the Middle East and approximately 600 experts from all over the world are expected. Representatives from governments and the private sector will discuss paths to unlock the potential of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
This year's forum will explore the role that policymakers and business can play as partners to achieve sustainable development goals. A particular focus will be on enabling SMEs in developing countries to increase their competitiveness and growth through trade.
This global platform is designed to address issues of trade competitiveness and to help leaders in trade and development forge new partnerships and develop innovative solutions.
H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, prime minister of Qatar, took note that Qatar Development Bank continues to promote and support all initiatives that will support SMEs and build export capacity for Qatari companies through the establishment of full service financial and advisory solutions. He also applauded the bank's efforts to help achieve Qatar's National Vision 2030.
