The chief executive officer of Eton Institute, a UAE-based international language-learning and professional development company, is beginning a three-year business and leadership program at Harvard Business School this month.
Eli Abi Rached, who also owns the school, is continuing his educational journey as part of a commitment to realizing his company’s potential.
The Harvard program is designed for business owners and entrepreneurs who wish to improve leadership effectiveness, build strategic consensus, and gain the skills necessary to position companies for success.
“When I started the journey of Eton Institute in 2006, my aim was to find talented, like-minded people to help deliver affordable, accessible learning to communities,” Abi Rached said. “Today, we have over 300 people across four continents doing just that.”
Abi Rached said he is inspired by working with his team to find new methods of learning while inspiring others to do the same. Now, he is challenging himself to do the same.
“This year, I have set myself a new challenge -- to safeguard my company and my customers in the coming years in a competitive global arena,” Abi Rached said.
Abi Rached said that the Harvard Business School’s mission “to educate leaders who make a difference in the world” resonates with his vision for Eton Institute.
As part of the program, Abi Rached will study topics such as executing effective strategies, managing disruptive innovation, leveraging markets to create value, and navigating the global economy. His main pursuit will be finding innovative ways to address challenges while creating new assets.
