Doha Bank will be the first issuer of UnionPay cards Qatar as it
entered into a strategic relationship with UnionPay International during a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony Tuesday.
The partnership will allow prospective cardholders to freely transact in more than 150 countries without worrying about restricted acceptance and unsatisfactory exchange rates.
The agreement was signed between
China UnionPay
President Wenchao Shi and Doha Bank CEO R. Seetharaman in the gracious presence of Li Chen, China's ambassador to Qatar. The event was attended by a delegation of senior executives from Chinese banks and senior management from Doha Bank.
Doha Bank has consistently been recognized for its efforts, winning a host of national and international awards.
