The U.K.-based telecom company
Virgin Mobile signed an agreement with Panda Retail Company Tuesday that will see
phone credit recharge cards
available across retail outlets in Saudi Arabia.
Panda is one of Saudi Arabia’s largest grocery chains with at least one version of the shop present in every major retail center in the country, including 63 hypermarkets, 143 supermarkets and 273 Pandati shops.
Virgin Mobile is one of the world’s largest mobile telecom companies, and the new distribution deal to put top-up cards in Panda stores will make it easier for Virgin Mobile members to get their hands on the recharge cards that they need. The move means Saudi Arabian customers won’t have to rely on Virgin Mobile's own network of stores in the Kingdom.
"Our members rely on their phones, so wherever you are in Saudi Arabia we want to make it as easy as possible to get Virgin Mobile recharge cards," Karim Benkirane, CEO of Virgin Mobile, said. "That makes Panda an important partner for Virgin Mobile, as it has popular stores throughout the country."
