A recent roundtable discussion hosted by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) was attended by officers and managers from a variety of local and international financial institutions.
The purpose of the gathering was to take a closer look at gender-related policies that affect women's roles and their advancement in the banking and finance industries.
The moderator for the meeting was Rasheed Al Maraj, CBB governor.
"We are pleased to organize this important meeting which brought together the CEOs and managers of the financial and banking institutions in the kingdom to adopt this vision which aims to implement relevant policies to support the development of managerial skills and competencies for all employees in the sector," said Al Maraj.
The roundtable is part of a year-long initiative that will conclude on Nov. 30 with a conference called "Women in the Financial and Banking Sector: Leading the Change" at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay.
