Oman Air recently upgraded its Frankfurt service for its winter 2015-16 as well as adding service to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Oman Air will offer service between Muscat and Frankfurt on its brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which the airline began using in October. The first Frankfurt flight occurred on Oct. 25.
Demand for Frankfurt service has steadily increased since it was first offered by the airline in 2009
"As Oman Air’s fleet and network continue to grow, we are delighted to be offering our customers even greater choice and convenience," Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch said. “The changes we have announced in our Winter 2015-16 schedule will introduce greater frequencies to many of our most popular destinations."
Oct. 25 was also the launch date of Oman Air's new service from Muscat to Dhaka due to strong customer demand. This marks Oman Air's second route to Bangladesh and 18th on the Indian sub-continent.
Additionally, the airline has upped its number of flights between Muscat and Paris from four per week to five, and the number of flights from Muscat to Goa, India, increased from four flights per week to six.
Other additional flights were added from Muscat to Colombo, Sri Lanka; from Muscat and Dammam, Saudi Arabia; and between Muscat and Tehran.
