The Kuwait Financial Centre, better known under the branding of Markaz, has won two major financial industry awards from Global Investor Magazine.
The magazine gave Markaz the honor of being named this year’s “Best Equities Manager in Kuwait.” The financial institution also took home the title of “Best Asset Manager in Kuwait,” giving Markaz a record of winning that award five years in a row.
Mohammad Khalid AlAbdulkader, Markaz assistant VP for the MENA Equities Department, said the award comes as a validation of the hard work the firm has put into its equities business.
“Such achievements reflect our team’s commitment to achieve best results for our clients by backing up our investment decision with well-rounded research, in addition to our experience in selecting quality assets and our constant revision of our risk policy to ensure its compatibility with the market requirements,” AlAbdulkader said.
Markaz adds the awards to an already impressive winning record from Global Investor. Last year, it took home the prize for being the “Best Investment Bank in Kuwait” on top of its asset management award.
The awards come as little surprise to AlAbdulkader who said the recognition comes from the company’s “continuous pursuit to achieve our investment objectives by offering versatile products, and the ability to appropriately allocate our assets to guarantee the best possible returns to our investors.”
