Dulsco, the Dubai-based human resource and waste management solutions company, celebrated 80 years in business this year with a special event featuring motivational speaker Brian Tracy. Tracy is one of the world’s most influential speakers and writers on leadership, business success and achieving goals.
His talk at Dulsco was entitled “Leadership excellence to sustain your growth.”
The event also honored 10 of the company’s longest-serving employees, who have witnessed the growth of Dulsco over the years.
Dulsco began operating in 1935 as a stevedoring company providing longshore loading and offloading services to Dubai’s ports. The company really took off in the 1970s with the opening of Port Rashid. That opening helped Dulsco grow into a major dockside services company.
That led Dulsco to begin providing a wider array of manpower services that eventually led to the company’s reconfiguration into the human resources and waste management firm it is today.
Dulsco is now serving the entire United Arab Emirates (UAE) and has expanded services to other Gulf nations. Stevedoring is still one of the company’s main focuses of business.
Abdul Aziz Mohammed Khan Abdulla, Dulsco’s chairman, said the company is excited to hit the 80-year milestone and looks forward to the future.
“The nation is at an interesting juncture and is set to take the next economic leap forward in the coming years,” Abdulla said. “We are excited to be part of this next phase of the UAE and the region and strive to further contribute to its economic growth and sustainability. The past years have been great, but we surely will not pause here.”
