The recent Qatargas Contractor Forum in Qatar brought the company’s main contractors and suppliers together to develop strategies to grow their businesses and the local market.
Participants in the forum, held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, discussed “Partnering for Sustainable Growth.” That theme also is part of the Qatargas strategy to partner with the company’s suppliers and service providers to build success.
Qatargas, a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum, is the world’s largest liquefied natural gas company.
Qatargas launched its Contractor Forum two years ago to let its contractors and suppliers engage in discussions and learn from one another’s experiences operating in the market. It also functions to coordinate actions on new business opportunities.
Qatargas Chief Operating Officer
Ahmad Helal Al Mohannadi said the forum strengthens communication and helps all the affiliated companies grow.
“This forum provides transparency as well as opportunity to our contractors to see our project plans and Qatargas expectations,” Al Mohannadi said. “We reinforce our support to the local market, in line with the Emiri Decree and the Qatar National Vision 2030. At the same time, we want to encourage healthy competition. Qatargas is committed toward its shareholders and customers, on safety, quality and on-time delivery.”
