Telecommunications operator Zain Bahrain has entered into an agreement with the British School of Bahrain to provide its faculty members and students access to high-speed Internet.
"We are delighted to work with Zain Bahrain in assisting us to upgrade our IT system and we look forward to our future plans of establishing a strategic partnership between Zain Bahrain and the British School of Bahrain," Rashad Janahi , BSB chairman of the board of trustees, said.
The deal with the school correlates with Zain Bahrain goal's to offer innovative services and enter into new business markets to expand its presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
"We would like to thank the British School of Bahrain for choosing Zain Bahrain as their telecom partner," Zain Bahrain General Manager Mohammed Zainalabedin said. "As their preferred service provider, we are proud to associate with an exemplary academic institution that places such a high focus on ICT development amongst its students and faculty."
Zain Bahrain emerged into the market in 2003 and helped place the Kingdom at the forefront of the global telecommunications industry by making it the first country to offer nationwide 3G, 3.5G and WiMAX coverage. In addition to high-speed internet access, the company has a wide range of telecom services including local and international connectivity as well as private automated branch exchange.
