Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. is among the participants in Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) Saudi 2015, an exhibition focused on residential and industrial installations of air conditioning and renewable energy systems that is running through Wednesday.
Samsung is an educational sponsor for the event being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Air conditioning is big business in Saudi Arabia due to the nation's climate, rising income levels and advancing infrastructure. To remain competitive, companies that manufacture air conditioning systems must offer systems that are superior and offer more features.
"Recently, several initiatives have been taken globally to reduce our ecological footprint while enticing manufacturers to innovate in products that are easily operated, that can leverage both reliability and design and that can withstand the extreme climatic conditions," Saher Hilal, head of Samsung's air conditioning department, said. "Samsung's HVAC units offer higher energy efficiency, power saving, easy installation and control thanks to an innovative automatic leak detection system. Our products have passed the energy requirements enforced by the EU as of January 2013 and were ready to satisfy the stricter regulations set beginning 2014."
