The Bahrain Consumer Protection Society (BCPS) and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) are considering joining together to form a joint committee.
BCCI Chariman Khalid Almoayed met recently with BCPS President Majed Nasser Sharaf at the BCPS offices in Bait Al Tijjar to discuss the possible collaboration
to raise awareness and ensure the rights of all market players.
Almoayed said the chamber backs the BCPS and its efforts; Sharaf said the BCPS is seeking partnerships with both government and nongovernment agencies to improve the services it can offer.
Others at the meeting included BCCI CEO Nabeel Al Mahmood and BCPS Vice Chairman Tariq Alojan and board member Khalid Almanaseer.
Sharaf said a BCPS-BCCI committee would maker it easier for both groups to communicate with the public and reach their many similar goals.
