Big Bus Tours rolls out new day excursion to UAE's Al Ain

Big Bus Tours, the world’s largest open-top sightseeing bus tour company, kicked off a new tour in the ‘Oasis City’ of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates this week.

The new tour began operations Wednesday, UAE's National Day, which celebrates the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971.

Al Ain is the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the fourth largest city in the nation. The Big Bus Tours’ package includes a full day tour in one of the company’s iconic open-top sightseeing buses. The tour covers eight major Al Ain stops including Al Qattara, Qasr Al Muwaiji, the National Museum, Al Ain Palace and both the Hili Fort and Tomb.

Big Bus Tours’ Al Ain Panoramic Day Tour package features an English-speaking tour guide and a free daily shuttle between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Guests will have the opportunity to see Al Ain’s green oasis landscape emerge out of the desert. The tour price covers entrance to all museums and historic sites as well as a catered lunch. Sights on the tour include archaeological sites, tombs, palaces, souks, mosques and oasis plantations.

Mike Lees, general manager of Big Bus Tours Middle East, said the company is proud to add Al Ain as the fifth Middle Eastern tour, after Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

“This confirms Big Bus Tours as a regional leader and a key market player within the sightseeing industry,” Lees said. “We are happy to provide the premium sightseeing experience within the UAE and Abu Dhabi in particular. Al Ain enjoys a rich history and accordingly we saw a good opportunity to commence operations within the city.”
