The small and medium enterprises (SME) majlis event -- a business-to-business affair dubbed "Meet The Big Boys" -- will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6.
SMEs will have an opportunity to present their businesses and pitch products or services to corporations and institutions on Dec. 6 at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headquarters in Sanabis between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The meeting will be followed by lunch.
“We at the committee strongly believe in the prospect of this segment and aim to invigorate it and stimulate its growth,” BCCI SME Committee Chair Mohammed Al Moayed said. “The SME is a promising segment with significant contribution to the national economy. It has earned the support and encouragement of the wise leadership which has set the stage for its growth and flourish.”
The corporations will each be assigned a majlis, or small seating area, where SMEs will meet with corporate representatives by appointment in a semi-formal setting. The corporation will preselect the SMEs that it is interested in meeting with during the event. The 15-minute meeting provides an opportunity for an SME to present innovative new products and build a business relationship with large corporations and institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
