Attendees at the 38th annual Saudi International Motor Show, running through Thursday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, are getting a first look at two of Nissan's newest offerings: the Nissan Patrol Desert Edition and NISMO, the company's motor sport and road car performance brand that will be newly available in Saudi Arabia.
Nissan's Patrol model was launched in 1957. The Patrol Desert Edition was developed in response to a 2014 regional survey that indicated Saudi car buyers - and customers throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council - wanted a sportier version of the model with more luxury features.
"It gives me great pleasure to share the price and availability details for the iconic Patrol NISMO," Nissan Middle East Managing Director
Samir Cherfan said. "We engage with our customers, and the result is an astounding range of models that appeal to everyone, no matter what their requirements are."
Sheikh Najeeb bin Abdullatif Alissa of the Saudi Arabian Nissan dealership Alissa Auto said the dealership's participation in the motor show was "a reflection of the continuous success that the Saudi International Motor Show has exhibited over the last few years.
"Nissan's participation has always enticed Nissan lovers due to its wide variety of models which satisfy the different needs of Nissan fans, and lovers, who are always on the lookout for innovation," Alissa said.
Nissan, which is based in Japan, considers feedback from customers when deciding what products to offer its Middle Eastern consumers.
"At Nissan, we listen to what our customers tell us about our brand and models and we ensure we deliver as per the specific demands to meet their expectations," Cherfan said. "We received resounding feedback calling for even more luxury and performance, both on the road and off it. We are therefore extending our range with some extremely special, bespoke versions of the Nissan Patrol. We are delighted to be showcasing our new Patrol Desert Edition and the all-new NISMO range, including the Patrol NISMO, at this year's Saudi International Motor Show."
