iSIGN Media geared up to expand interactive mobile proximity solutions in MENA

iSIGN Media, a Canada-based mobile advertising provider, is all set to expand its innovative interactive proximity marketing technology in association with its exclusive reseller in the MENA region Multi Level Technology (MLT) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

“MLT is a well connected company in MENA,” Alex Romanov, iSIGN Media Chief Executive Officer, told Gulf News Journal. “The fields that they specialize in such as, ATMs, customized payment solutions, kiosk machines, point-of-sales systems and others, made them attractive to us.”

ISIGN Media’s mobile proximity technology enables brands to deliver targeted messaging, personalized offers and loyalty perks to consumers' mobile devices in proximity and with real-time proof of redemption.

Recently, MLT ordered and paid for 62 Smart Antennas from iSIGN Media, which shows the increasing demand for new interactive technology solutions among the businesses for better understanding of customer behavior in the region. Under the terms of the Agreement, MLT was only required to order an initial inventory of 50 Smart Antennas.

“Our reseller received three Smart Antennas for testing purposes in July/August and based on their tests they increased their opening inventory order from 50 units to 62,” Romanov said. “Both MLT and we believe that this is developed enough to use our technology. We do believe that it will take time to build the market, just as it has taken time in North American. We are encouraged by MLT's increase of their opening inventory order.”

iSIGN Media’s Smart Antenna is an innovative deice in their Smart suite of products. It is capable of delivering messages and gathering details of interactions with shoppers—not including their personal info such as phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

“It is valuable to retailers and third party data aggregators, while providing feedback on the acceptance of messaging,” Romanov said. “It is fully waterproof and capable of withstanding extreme temperatures of -40 to +180 F.”

iSIGN delivers relevant, timely messages on an opt-in basis at no charge to consumers, transmitting rich media to consumer mobile devices via Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity in complete privacy as opposed to iBeacons, apps, downloads and required surrendering of personal information.

“In MENA, it would be extremely difficult to deploy a beacon product, since the need for dozens of disparate apps required for MLT’s assets and customers would be unreasonable,” Romanov said. “Also, the beacons could not be easily monitored as their batteries failed. For that reason, the Smart Antenna is the only real commercial grade solution, and MLT has conduits into infrastructure that will benefit by using the Smart Antenna.”
