The food delivery service Deliveroo recently launched a new iOS mobile app for United Arab Emirates (UAE) customers.
The app will allow eaters in the UAE to use their phones to order, track and pay for restaurant food.
"People in Dubai love to order in but are frustrated with both the quality of restaurants available and the service levels for home delivery," Anis Harb, general manager of Deliveroo UAE, said. "Our smart location-based app means that they can tap into an incredible list of restaurants, delivered in 32 minutes on average and tracked all the way on their mobile phone."
The service makes Dubai restaurants such as The Sum of Us, Eat Greek, Busaba Eathai, Baker & Spice, Toko, Big Smoke Burger, Fumé, Ping Pong and Comptoir 102 available to diners in the Dubai neighborhoods of Dubai Marina, Media City, The Greens, J.L.T., Downtown, Business Bay and Jumeirah.
Company officials said another version of the app for Android phones is on the way.
Deliveroo is a London-based company started in 2013 that brings food from more than 5,000 restaurants to customers across Europe. The company had attracted more than $200 million in investment as of November and plans to continue expanding not only throughout the UAE, but also to Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney.
