The Mercedez-Benz brand in Oman grew rapidly last year, according to figures released recently by Zawawi Trading Company (ZTC), the brand's official distributor in Oman.
ZTC officials said sales during the last quarter of 2015 were up 25 percent over the same period in 2014 and overall growth was approximately 20 percent.
"A real high-point at the end of a truly fantastic year of continuous growth, these results are certainly a cause for celebration and a great start to 2016," Zawawi Trading Company - Automotive CEO Clive Hammond said. "Without doubt, they are a tribute to the exceptional Mercedes-Benz lineup and the dedication of our team to offer the best possible service."
Particularly popular were Mercedes-Benz's AMG models, sales of which jumped by approximately 50 percent and carried the company's overall high performance sales higher by more than a third.
ZTC officials said the boost in sales was due to the quality and design of the vehicles they offer.
The company expects to keep the growth going by offering five new models in 2016, as well as four new editions of current models.
