A workshop organized by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting recently allowed employees of Qatar Development Bank to learn more about the Industrial Market Intelligence (IMI) Portal and the tools it offers.
Director of the Industrial Information Department Mohammed Al-Ansari explained the numerous uses of the portal and defined the four sections of the IMI Plus as Gulf industries, foreign trade, socioeconomic indicators and investment opportunities in the Gulf region. Users can also access and print reports, as well as use one of many search or query features.
Industrial activities in each country are documented within the IMI Plus, offering details like factory names, the size of their investments and employee base. Facts concerning the evolution of industrial movement and growth according to industrial locations, happenings and design capacities of each product are also recorded.
The IMI Plus offers users a wealth of information to include details concerning roughly 16,000 factories operating in Gulf Cooperation Council countries, analytics for imports and exports, design capacities and market size for more than 4,000 goods and a synopsis of nearly 450 industrial investment prospects. The facts within the portal are ideal for those desiring to conduct informed research, product market studies and practicability studies.
In addition to employees of Qatar Development Bank, the workshop was attended by businessmen, specialists, academics and reporters, among others. Al-Ansari demonstrated to the onlookers how to use the IMI Plus to compare foreign trade data and how investors could access valuable information. The system offers information on approximately 450 industrial investment opportunities, which allows companies and industrialists to target new customers, make wise profitable decisions and pursue new trade investment opportunities.
The Training and Capacity Development Program from Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting provides multiple training workshops to interested parties with a goal of improving the people and work within the industrial division.
