The Zain Group, a Kuwait-based telecom company that operates across the Middle East and Africa, said recently it has invested in the neXgen Group, a UAE-based smart city and next generation technology advisory and consulting service.
The investment by the Zain Group will help establish specialized business groups that will aim to convey smart city services to real estate developers and governments. The goal of delivering these services is to enable the advancement of the smart city approach to solutions and services across the Zain Group’s region.
Zain Group announced the investment in the neXgen Group at the Mobile World Congress. The agreement was signed one year after the two companies formed a collaborative partnership.
Zain and neXgen both see the use of mobile Iternet as a factor that can increase peoples' ways of life and revolutionize how they conduct business in the Middle East and Africa. Both companies are convinced that through their partnership they can enrich the lives of millions of people in the region.
