The Nasayem Al Bahrain Festival, a garden show designed to encourage a more environmentally friendly Bahrain, is part of Zain Bahrain’s environmentally driven CSR initiatives.
The festival, held at Riyadat Mall in A'Ali, features home-grown gardening and agricultural goods, home-cooked edibles and interactive gardening workshops for children and their parents. While the event allows for family fun, one of the main objectives of the show is to support a strong ecological future for Bahrain.
"Zain Bahrain has always been committed to raise environmental awareness and play a leading role in spreading awareness in order to preserve the Kingdom's environment," Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Pakiza Abdulrahman said.
Support of the festival is part of Zain Bahrain’s Second National Mobile Phone and e-Waste Recycling Campaign, developed and practiced in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) and the backing of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and UNDP.
"The festival shares our vision in creating a cleaner, greener and a more sustainable environment, and it has provided us with the perfect platform to promote our second National eWaste recycling campaign," Abdulrahman said.
To celebrate the end of the eWaste campaign, Zain Bahrain will announce the winner of the nation-wide competition held between schools in April.
