First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company has announced its intention to participate in the Gulf Property Show by debuting El Mercado Janabiya, its neighborhood retail center.
To date, First Bahrain’s El Mercado has received positive feedback from residents living in Janabiya and Saar, as well as from prospective tenants. According to Amin Al Arrayed, CEO of First Bahrain, the feedback is very encouraging and reasserts First Bahrain’s confidence in the new project.
El Mercado is scheduled to open not long after the Gulf Property Show and is expected to deliver a wide variety of service, food and beverage options for southern Saar and Janabiya. The final stages of construction and landscaping have been completed, and a soft opening has been planned for May of this year.
The open air marketplace has leased 80 percent of its available space already.
El Mercado will feature Bahrain’s newest and largest Al Osra Supermarket, as well as a ladies salon, a barber for men and an educational toy shop. The marketplace would like to see services that will complement the existing businesses, which include a bank, laundry and optician shop.
