Oman Air recently entered into a cooperation agreement with international car rental and mobility service company Sixt that is expected to be advantageous for customers of both companies.

Under the deal, Oman Air customers enrolled in the airline's Sindbad loyalty program will have access to discounts and bonus miles when renting Sixt vehicles through Oman Air. Sindbad members can save up to 15 percent on rentals and also have the option of upgrading to the next higher class of vehicle at no cost. Members will obtain 500 bonus miles when they rent a car from Sixt and 1,000 bonus miles if they book a limousine.

First class and business class passengers of Oman Air will also have access to the Sixt Limousine Service at no additional charge when traveling to or from Germany, Switzerland, Thailand and Singapore.

"The agreement that Oman Air has just signed with Sixt offers excellent benefits for customers throughout our network," Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch said. "Car or limousine hire is an essential element of many people’s travel plans and we are delighted to be partnering with a company that shares Oman Air’s commitment to quality, convenience and customer care."

Sixt had been a partner of Oman's frequent flyer program prior to this new agreement.

"Sixt and Oman Air, the leading airline in the Middle East, have collaborated in a successful partnership for years," Sixt International Senior Executive Vice President Regine Sixt said. "I am very pleased that we can now significantly expand this cooperation and thus offer our customers even greater added value in terms of comfort and flexibility. Together we will make our customers’ trips a special experience."

The companies signed the co-operation agreement at International Tourism Bourse (ITB) Berlin, the largest travel fair in the world.
