Siemens outlined the use of technology to decrease production and operational costs in the Oman oil and gas sector at this week's Oil & Gas West Asia Exhibition and Conference in Muscat.
The company detailed its ongoing efforts within the sultanate to be more accepting of the use of advanced technologies in the oil and gas industry and how it can help companies endure current oil prices.
Companies have expressed a growing interest in the use of technology that will improve the capacity of production at lower costs due to the current state of the industry. The portfolio put together by Siemens outlines this issue by using software, sensors, process automation and the analysis of data to show that technology can be efficient and increase consistency.
Siemens and Oman have been working together for more than 40 years as developmental partners. The company is well established in Oman and has had its hand in the further development of the country’s oil and gas industry.
