Bahrain recently hosted the 45th International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) conference and exhibition, with 400 participants traveling from 36 countries to attend.

The conference, which lasted for three days, included representatives from the University of Manchester: 55 of the university’s students went to the conference and learned from the activities.

Discussion topics included women’s leadership in the Middle East, leadership and return on investment, innovative leadership in the new Internet era, and management of multigenerational workforce in the GCC.

“We are proud that the Kingdom of Bahrain has hosted the 45th IFTDO Conference and Exhibition, especially for a second time, organized under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the prime minister,” Ebrahim Janahi, Tamkeen’s CEO, said. “Bahrain seeks to develop and invest in its human capital at various institutions, including university and school students. Tamkeen’s strategy aims at enhancing this support, making Bahraini citizens the employees of choice in the job market, particularly in the private sector. Our support and partnership stem from Tamkeen’s core belief in the importance of continued investment in the development of human capital.”

The presentations also featured the best way to invest in talents and handle challenges that face growing businesses.

“We are proud that Bahrain has hosted 45th edition of IFTDO conference,” Mohammed Al Shaikh, president of IFTDO and Bahrain Society for Training and Development, said. “We had the honor of organizing the 31st edition for the first time in 2002.”
