Mongolian leaders look to better relations with Bahrain

A Mongolian delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs Lundeg Purevsuren recently met with met with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) leaders including Second Vice Chairman Abdulhameed Al Kooheji, Executive Committee Member Abdulhakeem Al Shemeri and CEO Nabeel Al Mahmood to encourage trade between the two countries.

The meeting in Manama also aimed to discuss and better the collaboration of Bahrain and the Mongolian People’s Republic as well as strengthen the relationship between the two regions to encourage new business and economic growth.

The unique characteristics of the Bahraini economy in addition to the amenities provided to foreign investors were the focus of Al Kooheji’s address. He called for the Mongolian businessmen to explore and benefit from the Bahraini market by working in partnership with local counterparts to merge joint ventures.

Purevsuren agreed with Al Kooheji’s sentiments by highlighting the need to grow business relationships with regional allies and improve Mongolia’s standing with those countries so Mongolia will be the first to benefit from the amenities of other regions. He gave a short summary of the Mongolian economy, which greatly leans on the agricultural and mining sectors, and noted the importance the government investing in its people and offering different avenues of income. 

Purevsuren also mentioned the country’s unique taxation system and the positive outlook of the profitable relationship between the two countries.
