"We are glad to join hands with the International Technical Tropical Timber Association to organize the ATIBT Conference in Dubai, which will be a milestone for the wood industry in the region," Walid Farghal, director general for Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions, organizers of Dubai WoodShow 2016, said "We anticipate that this inaugural edition of the conference in the Middle East will witness participation of the most prominent countries and decision makers in the wood industry from around the world."

Farghal said the gathering will touch on topics like forest potential, the problems of natural forests in the context of climate change, technology sharing, sustainable timber and government investment in sustainable forestry.
