Ooredoo Group has increased its 4G service offerings to five markets with the recent launch of 4G services from Ooredoo Tunesia.
Telecommunications leader Ooredoo now provides super-fast 4G digital services to Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Indonesia and Tunisia, expanding the group’s footprint to one of the largest in the region.
Ooredoo customers can now take advantage of the faster, more efficient 4G services. Benefits of the coverage expansion include faster file transfers, high definition images and speedier downloads. Customers utilizing 3G services will also benefit by increasing capacity with LTE technology.
“Ooredoo continues to pursue our strategy of network evolution and leadership in order to deliver cutting-edge data and digital services across our footprint,” Ooredoo Group CEO Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani said. “With the launch of 4G in Tunisia, we can expand our portfolio of smart services for Tunisian customers and deliver an enhanced mobile experience for all. We offer our congratulations to our team in Tunisia who have achieved this technological breakthrough in rapid time and delivered to a high quality.”
Ooredoo Tunisia released new, state-of-the-art bundles, including MyCloud storage, free call minutes, data allowance and video-on-demand with Starz Play, with the new services announcement. Users can choose from prepaid or postpaid options while using 3G and 4G services from Ooredoo.
Value-added services are now also offered by Ooredoo Tunisia and will include Mazika, an entertainment app that hosts the largest Arabic music index, and Mobifind, used to help customers find their phones after they have been lost or stolen.
In addition, Ooredoo has bettered its Mobile Academy service, used to access a large number of online courses in fields such as languages, cookery and management development.
