AGMC (Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre), the leading BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, said it plans to expand with an upscale auto dealership in Dubai's Motor City region, slated for completion in 2017.
The 100,000-square-foot facility, designed as a high-end showroom for BMW and MINI vehicles, will serve as the first such site in the growing Motor City area. AGMC has committed to investing over $54.4 million in the project, building on its previous success and continuing rapport with BMW Group in Dubai.
Architectural touches and comfortable furniture will allow customers to feel securely immersed in the showroom experience, with LEED-certified materials, including large glass panels, providing high visibility into the workshop. Solar energy and recycling components will be built in to the project, reducing its environmental footprint and complying with Dubai’s vision of sustainable development by 2020.
“There is no better example than AGMC, who has been our partner for more than four decades and who constantly invests in key areas of our brands to ensure that customers get the best possible experience," BMW Group Middle East Managing Director Johannes Seibert said.
AGMC’s parent company is Albatha Automotive Group, headquartered in the UAE. The innovative firm, whose name derives from the Arabic word for valley, comprises over 25 individual businesses ranging from health care, manufacturing, engineering and electronics to fast-moving consumer goods, food and real estate.
"Our business has been built on 40 years of successful operations, supported throughout by the BMW Group, who has provided us with the perfect equation for success … enticing our customers year-after-year,” Albatha Automotive Group Managing Director Stathis Stathis said. “Providing a unique, convenient and enjoyable shopping and servicing experience for our customers, the new Dubai Motor City facility is powerful evidence of our commitment to our business partners, customers and the local communities in which we operate.”
