General Electric (GE) will will provide 220 megawatt LV5 Series solar inverters for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's (DEWA) solar energy project in Dubai, the largest project of its type in the Middle East.
The solar project is considered a breakthrough for the solar industry as it will make solar power much more competitive price-wise.
The inverters are part of an agreement between GE and Spanish engineering and construction company TSK. GE will supply outdoor solar materials to TSK for the DEWA site.

GE's solar solutions have been designed to meet the local environmental conditions while also fulfilling stringent requirements from DEWA . GE's liquid-cooled inverters are designed to operated in harsh outdoor conditions.
