As part of its strategy to reach out to promising markets, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has opened a new international office in Mozambique's capital, Maputo.
The new office, which is the fifth international office set up under Dubai chamber’s international expansion strategy, offers an outpost for UAE companies wishing to expand in sub-Saharan Africa.
“Dubai chamber’s business expansion strategy into the African market is based on the directive of ... Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, to solidify our bilateral relations and encourage business and investment with Africa," Dubai Chamber Chairman Majid Saif Al Ghurair said.
The opening of the international office in Mozambique came as part of the chamber's trade mission to South Africa and Mozambique.
“We are looking forward to attract UAE investments to Mozambique as these will contribute to the economic growth and job creation while the country has a number of agreements and partnerships with the European Union and African countries (tripartite agreement FTA), which will allow many benefits for UAE investors in these markets,”
