A recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) aims to support small businesses in Qatar and notes that the two groups will partner to develop training programs and exchange information and services that offer guidance and advice from experts in the appropriate sectors.
Qatar Chamber General Manager Saleh Hamad al Sharqi and QBIC CEO Aysha al Mudahka signed the document.
Both organizations agree to participate in a number of events put together by both groups as well as include QBIC entrepreneurs in Qatar chamber database.
Sharqi said it is the responsibility of the Qatar chamber to organize events of interest of the Qatari private sector in addition to acting on behalf of it and defending it when necessary.
“Today’s signing with QBIC comes to support entrepreneurs and the private sector in general in line with the policies of economic and trade diversification of the national economy according to the Qatar National Vision 2030,” Sharqi said.
Sharqi said that QBIC works to develop and promote entrepreneurship and SMEs in Qatar. Collaboration between public and private sectors aids in Qatar achieving its economic goals and having a positive impact on the financial stability of the region.
