Cisco recently showcased its threat-centric cybersecurity solutions during the Kuwait Info Security Conference and Exhibition event.
The technology company provided insight into how the solutions can help businesses reduce the risk of cyber-attacks by giving them better control and visibility of IT infrastructure. Additionally, Cisco held two sessions on the importance of security in the digital world.
"Cisco is focused on delivering 'Security Everywhere,' which cuts across the security architecture, the data center, Internet of Things and the enterprise network which includes wireless," Cisco Kuwait General Manager Samer Al-Lahham said. "It defends the IT infrastructure before, during and after an attack -- and allows organizations to focus on growing their business."
According to the Cisco Annual Security Report 2016, businesses around the globe stand to lose $2.1 trillion within the next four years due to cybercrime. This number is four times higher than what was predicted last year.
Cisco has also conducted a global study in which enterprises reported facing numerous challenges with cybersecurity, such as lacking the right metrics to determine the effectiveness of their cybersecurity policies, being inefficient in enforcing policies and the inability of their policies to keep pace with business change.
