Hotel management company Rotana, based in Abu Dhabi, recently named two key additions to its UAE leadership team.
David Prince has been promoted to area vice president for Dubai and Northern Emirates, and Christian Baudat has been hired as area general manager for Salalah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
"Both David and Christian bring a wealth of experience and knowledge," Rotana Chief Operating Officer Guy Hutchinson said. "Involving them closely in key business and operational decisions will help Rotana more fully leverage the growth opportunities in the all-important market of UAE."
Prince will be responsible for overseeing operations, executing strategic business growth plans, offering brand support and ensuring regulatory compliance of Rotana's hotels in Dubai and Northern Emirates. Prince previously served as area general manager for those area hotels.
Baudat has been tasked with creating financial objectives, maintaining open and effective communication across departments and ensuring consistent guest satisfaction of Rotana's Salalah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain hotels.
Prior to joining Rotana, Prince and Baudat both held roles at Hilton Hotels. Prince spent more than two decades working across numerous markets including China, India and the United Kingdom. Baudat, who was with Hilton Hotels for nearly20 years, mainly worked in the Switzerland and Japan markets.
