Qatar and Algeria work together to grow joint business council

During a recent meeting held at the Qatar Chamber headquarters, Algeria’s Minister of Industry and Mines Abdeslam Bouchouareb urged Qatari businessmen to make investments in his country in sectors that include industry, mining, medicines, tourism and services.

The meeting was attended by Qatar Chamber Vice Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar and HE Ambassador of Algeria to Qatar Abdulaziz Saba.

The group focused their discussion on ways to expand economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. They also agreed to coordinate a forum bringing together businessmen from both nations, to be held along side the Qatar-Algeria Joint Higher Committee meeting scheduled for the end of the year. The two countries will look to activate the Qatari-Algerian Joint Business Council.

Bouchouareb praised the Qatar Chamber for bringing the group together to advance cooperation in the private sectors of each country. The Qatar Chamber Vice Chairman talked about the evolving relations between the countries, noting that all conditions are in place to enhance joint business development.
