Saudi Electricity participates in Ramadan Iftar program

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) is participating in a program that provides observers of Ramadan with fast-breaking meals.

Sponsored by King Saud University's social responsibility club, the Ramadan Iftar program aims to prepare and distribute 150,000 meals throughout Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. More than 70 volunteers are expected to prepare and distribute around 5,000 meals a day.

Not only is the program giving Ramadan observers access to meals when the Ramadan fast ends everyday at sunset, but it also is creating a sense of brotherhood and a more unified community.

SEC's participation in the program falls in line with its social responsibility goals. The electric utility company is dedicated to developing a culture of cooperation and solidarity between all categories and segments of society as community development is important to achieving a sustainable country.

"The initiative is widely welcomed in light of the spirit of cooperation and goodwill that appear in the performance of the team during the implementation of the program," SEC Communications and Public Relation VP Hamoud Algobaini said.

SEC provides electricity in all parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
