The
Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) recently participated in the 31st meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Commission of Banking Institutes and Colleges in Saudi Arabia, a gathering geared toward exchanging knowledge to help support banking and finance education in the region.
BIBF Deputy Director Ahmed Abdul Ghani Al Shaikh
represented Bahrain at the meeting in Jeddah. A delegation discussed the latest developments and best practices for banking and finance education and training, as well as opportunities and initiatives to strengthen the unity of the council.
Al Shaikh highlighted the importance of training opportunities for joint cooperation and taking advantage of international experience in the promotion of Bahrain and the Gulf experience in general. He discussed the creation of local sustainability opportunities to meet the aspirations of the growing labor market and noted the importance of training and financial education institutions in providing specialized skills training for the labor market.
