American University of Sharjah (AUS) said the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Affairs Division has re-accredited its master of business administration (MBA) program and Bachelor of Art in economics program for five more years.
An external review team visited AUS late last year to review the two programs for the re-accreditation.
“The re-accreditation of both our MBA and our Bachelor of Arts in economics program is testament to the quality of graduate and undergraduate programs offered at AUS,” AUS Chancellor Bjorn Kjerfve said. “The School of Business Administration (SBA) at AUS has won renown as one of the premier business schools in the Gulf region. Our MBA program has been designed to provide our graduates with the skills they need to be competitive in today's dynamic, global marketplace."
AUS ranks as the best private university in the Gulf region offering an MBA degree according to a recent study by Forbes Middle East. It is also second among private universities offering MBA degrees in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region.
