International Chamber of Commerce Qatar (ICC Qatar), along with sponsors Qatar National Bank and Ahli Bank, recently held its first banking workshop in Doha.
The event, which had more than 150 attendees and lasted two days, focused on topics that included the benefits and problems letters of credit can bring to a transaction, document preparation and examination and refusals under documentary credits.
Ahli Bank said it was delighted to be a gold sponsor and support the ICC in arranging this inaugural event where over 150 delegates from a wide range of organisations were able to attend the two-day workshop led by Gary Collyer.
Representatives from bank, export and important companies, law firms, investment houses, ministries and the Qatar Stock Exchange attended the event.
“It was a pleasure to host this event for the first time in Qatar and hopefully (it) will become a yearly event; we are grateful to ICC Qatar in pushing forth with such events for the banking community,” workshop presenter Gary Collyer said.
