Ericsson, a world leader in communications technology and services, recently announced that Ali Eid has been appointed as head of the customer unit for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Jordan and Palestine within Ericsson Region Middle East and East Africa.

"Today's appointments of the new leaders will enable us to continue adding value to our customers and drive their transformation agenda,” Rafiah Ibrahim, head of Ericsson Region Middle East and Africa, said.

Eid has spent decades driving success for Ericsson. He spent 12 years with Ericsson KSA before accepting a key account manager of Jawwal position. After that eight-year stint, Eid was promoted to CU Head to manage business for the Paltel Group and Wataniya. On April 1, 2010, Eid became the head of Ericsson KSA.

"I am eager to expand successful strategies that I've implemented in Saudi Arabia to Jordan and Palestine and to improve upon them in the days to come,” Eid said. “KSA as a leading mobile communication market is normally influencing the evolution in many countries in the Middle East. Having Jordan and Palestine in the same Customer Unit will extend this influence to these markets. In line with Ericsson's strides towards evolution into the Networked Society, I look forward to stimulating growth and fostering innovation wherever I can."
