United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has received more than 400 students to its intensive program for excellent students.

The program allows students to skip a full academic year in foundation classes of Arabic and math if they pass an exam.

Amna Nasser Al Bloushi, director of the admissions department, said the program constantly evolves to meet the needs of the community. She said the goal of the program is to help new students make the transition from high school to university successfully. Students enrolled must maintain an average of at least 84 percent in high school and score a minimum of 180 on the CEPA-English Exam or a minimum score of 5.0 on the Academic IELTS exam.

The program emphasizes the desire of UAEU to ensure a high quality education for all students by providing the necessary support in all fields and in preparing graduates who are leaders and pioneers in their respective fields.
