Ajman University freshmen take in sights of the emirate

Ajman University said it offered an exploratory tour of the emirate for incoming freshmen in conjunction with the Department of Tourism Development.

Students toured Ajman for two days, viewing such cultural attractions as the Ajman Museum, home to an extensive history of the emirate; Ajman Corniche, a culture melting pot full of food from around the region; and the Al Zorah golf club and Shakespeare Cafe. The students were able to see the historically bustling fish market, where an auction takes place as soon as fish are brought into the dock.

Ajman University Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Community Service Abdul Haq al-Naimi said that the university prides itself on creating a great start to the students’ first year on campus. These trips, according to the vice chancellor, bring students together and helps establish a bond between the students and administration.
