SPIMACO CFO is now a Chartered Financial Analyst

Fahad Ayed Al-Shammari was awarded the CFA Charter in 2016, the most prestigious professional designation in the global financial industry.

Al-Shammari, CFO at Saudi Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Corporation (SPIMACO), successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program consisting of three exams administered by the CFA Institute.

"For 50 years, candidates have sought to earn the CFA charter for two chief reasons," John Bowman, managing director for the Americas region at CFA Institute, said. "One, to expand and test their knowledge of current practice across a broad range of investment topics; and two, to demonstrate to clients, employers and peers their mastery of a demanding body of knowledge."

Only 20 percent of CFA Program enrollees pass all of the exams to achieve the CFA designation.

"I am honored and proud to finally receive my charter," Al-Shammari said. "It represents the successful culmination of hundreds of hours of study and a demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethics."

Al-Shammari has more than a decade of experience in the areas of investments, finance, project management and accounting. In addition to his new CFA designation, Al-Shammari holds many other credentials including being a Certified Management Accountant and having a diploma in Islamic Finance.
