A Saudi-Chinese Business Council
Council delegation visit to China, led by Council of Saudi Chambers Board Member and Chairperson of the Saudi-Chinese Business Council Abdullah Al Mobty, culminated in the signing of nine investment agreements along with memorandums
of understanding between the two countries’ private sectors.
The
agreements came during the Saudi-Chinese Business Forum in
Beijing under the supervision of the Minister of Commerce and Investment,
Minister of Energy Industry and Minerals and vice chairperson of the Chinese
Council for Promotion of International Trade.
Al Mobty said he looks forward to
significant growth in cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China during the opening address at the event. Over the last
two decades, he said, the countries have enhanced bilateral trade by
facilitating trade and joint agreements.
The nine
agreements signed include a cooperation agreement between the Council of Saudi
Chambers and the Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade; Al Mobty
Contracting and ZTE, Alan & Bros. and the local government of Zaozhuang in
Shandong to expand their projects in China; Al Jeraisy
and Huawei for technology investments in Saudi Arabia; Al Jaber Holding and
Haier; Al Jomaih Energy & Water Company and CGN; AKFA and Jetta Company
Limited; and Sada Business Center and State-Credit International for training.
